Wilma Bates, age 70, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.

Wilma was born June 10, 1950 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ervin and Delia Osborne Caudill. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jake Bates; one son, Tony Ray Caudill; one brother, Clifford Caudill; and four sisters, Faye Ward, Beatrice Murray, Vertice Hayes, and Sarah Hayes.

She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Carpenter of Sitka, Kentucky and Melissa Katherine Berduo of Granite Shoals, Texas; one son-in-law, William Blevins of Sitka, Kentucky; two sisters, Dareatha Kay Murphy of Van Lear, Kentucky and Mary Evelyn Salyer of Sitka, Kentucky; and five grandchildren, Kellsi Caudill, Bailey Murray, Clayton Caudill, Liam Allen-Ray Blevins, and Maya Faith Reyes.

There will be no services at this time.
