Zondra Sue VanHoose Baker, age 73, of Georgetown, Kentucky, formerly of Paintsville, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Baptist Health, Lexington, Kentucky.

Zondra was born April 27, 1951 in Paintsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Archie VanHoose and Jessie Ratliff VanHoose. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Michael Baker; three brothers, Michael E. VanHoose, Lincoln VanHoose, and Henry VanHoose; and three sisters, Bonnie Newsome, Barbara Castle, and Jessie E. Horne.

She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (David) Martin of Georgetown, Kentucky and Angie (Tommy) Haney of Paintsville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Macayla Arms, Blake Martin, Kenzie Martin, and Caleb Haney; and four great grandchildren, Noa Beth, Sawyer, Hadley, and Cam.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Mikey Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2024 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
